Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a 2nd shift Stand-Up Forklift Operator in Romeoville, IL to safely operate stand-up forklifts and EPJ, supporting order fulfillment and inventory control in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, picking, staging, and conducting quality checks while adhering to CJ Logistics America's safety standards. The role requires basic math, reading skills, and effective communication to maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 months of warehouse or distribution experience.
• Basic math and reading skills required.
• Experience operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks (MHE).
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to procedures.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate stand-up and/or sit-down forklifts to move, load, unload, and consolidate products.
• Perform manual case picking and other material handling tasks for order fulfillment.
• Replenish inventory and maintain accurate product placement.
• Prepare products for shipment, including palletizing, wrapping, and staging.
• Assist with physical inventories and cycle counts.
• Communicate any product defects or inventory issues to management.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe work environment per OSHA and PPE rules.
