Hood Container Corporation in Louisville, Kentucky, is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator for our fast-paced warehouse. The role requires safety-minded individuals who can manage inventory, prepare materials for production, and support continuous operations on the second shift.

You will operate a forklift, verify inventory, and collaborate with Production Planning to meet upcoming orders. The job includes overtime as needed and offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within a

Qualifications

At least 2 years of warehousing and inventory control experience.
High school diploma or GED required.
Basic computer proficiency, strong math skills and attention to detail.
Safety-focused with commitment to a safe work environment.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

Verify materials entering and leaving the warehouse to ensure inventory accuracy.
Keep warehouse and production floor organized and safe.
Coordinate with Production Planning to ensure materials are available for orders.
Pull and prepare jobs for the next shift’s production run.
Fulfill material replenishment requests to avoid delays.
Load and unload materials and Scrap handling.
Operate and maintain a forklift safely to prevent damage.
Inspect propane cylinders, store properly and ensure fill as required.
Perform routine forklift maintenance checks.
Other duties as assigned.
