Job summary

Hood Container Corporation is hiring a Forklift Operator in Louisville, Kentucky. This full-time, on-site role offers a 2nd shift (3:30 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.) with pay of $19.00–$20.00/hour plus shift differential.

You will verify inventory, keep areas organized, and support production planning to prevent delays. Qualified candidates have at least 2 years in warehousing, a high school diploma or GED, and basic computer skills. Safety-focused and able to work overtime.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of warehousing and inventory control experience.
• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Basic computer proficiency, math skills, and attention to detail.
• Commitment to safety and willingness to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Verify materials in and out to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Keep warehouse and production areas organized and safe.
• Coordinate with Production Planning to ensure materials are available.
• Prepare and stage jobs for the next shift.
• Fulfill material replenishment requests to avoid delays.
• Handle and load scrap materials efficiently.
• Operate and maintain forklift safely.
• Inspect propane cylinders and ensure proper storage.
• Perform routine forklift maintenance checks.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
