Job summary

Custom Building Products is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for the Perth Amboy, NJ plant on 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:15 PM - 11:45 PM). You will operate a forklift or walkie rider to pick, ship and receive products, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

Work with Production, Maintenance, and other departments, following safety protocols, maintaining a clean work area, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Overtime is available with a $1.00/hour shift premium and a potential $1.00/hour increase

Qualifications

• Read and understand work orders and complex instructions.
• Proficient operation of forklift and walkie rider; driving test will be given at interview.
• Great work ethic and impeccable attendance.
• Read and understand schedules.

Responsibilities

• Use forklift or walkie rider to pick, ship and/or receive products timely
• Receive instructions and schedules from plant supervision.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, orderly work environment
• Retrieve or put away material using a sit-down industrial forklift.
• Ensure that all finished product meets quality standard.
• Ready and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
