Job summary

RRD is seeking a Forklift Operator for the 2nd shift (2:00 PM to 10:00 PM) in Wisconsin. Compensation ranges from $16.50 to $18.00 per hour, with a $2 per hour shift premium.

Responsibilities include moving finished product, supplying materials, staging shipments, and maintaining inventory and safety standards. The role requires knowledge of forklift dimensions and load handling, ability to navigate tight spaces, and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must know how high, wide, and long the forklift truck and its load are, and how much the forklift can lift.
• Ability to identify doorway and aisle dimensions for driving the forklift and accessing shelves.
• Knowledge of the storage layout to find and place items without detailed instructions.
• Skilled in moving forklifts in tight spaces and around obstacles.
• Greater knowledge and skill than Hoist Operator 1 in handling forklift controls.
• Must be able to operate starting/stopping, backing, and driving through narrow aisles in buildings and ramps.
• Must recognize whether the forklift can lift the load and whether the load is balanced.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment to move finished product for shipping or storage.
• Supplies Manufacturing Department with materials as needed.
• Stages product to be moved or shipped.
• Racks unused supplies and maintains inventory of type, amount and location of items.
• Transports and processes manufacturing paper by-products.
• Empties trash hoppers and performs housekeeping duties as needed.
• Performs routine daily inspections on hoist and reports maintenance needs.
• May include battery service duties such as inspecting, recharging and replacing batteries and lubricating moving parts.
• May include changing LP/Propane.
• Adheres to all safety policies including handling hazardous waste, lock out-tag out rules and hearing/eye protection policies.
• Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
