Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a 2nd shift Forklift Operator/Material Handler in Irving, TX to ensure timely delivery of product and accurate inventory control. You will operate gas or electric lift devices, log movements with hand scanners and PLEX, and support audits with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role requires at least 2 years of material handling in manufacturing, ability to stand 8–10 hours, and lift up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable material handling experience in manufacturing.
• Must pass forklift operational and written assessments and maintain certification.
• Stand 8–10 hours and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and safety-minded approach.
• English reading/writing for safety instructions and communications.

Responsibilities

• Use hand scanners and PLEX to log inventory to the location.
• Escalate damaged parts, missing inventory, and any incidents to Team Leaders or Supervisors.
• Complete forklift inspections accurately and timely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support internal and external audits as needed.
• Participate in inventory, cross-training in zones as required.
• Recharge batteries and/or replace liquified gas tanks as needed.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
