Job summary

Andersen Corporation in Bayport is seeking an experienced forklift operator to safely manage sorting, shipping, receiving and material handling. You will follow standard work, support continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate deliveries and staging across the plant.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years forklift experience, PIT license, and the ability to lift 75 pounds repeatedly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years forklift experience required.
• Ability to read invoices and packing slips.
• PIT license/training required.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds repetitively.
• Clear communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely in sorting, shipping, receiving and material handling.
• Follow standard work, control plans and quality specs with support staff.
• Identify issues and use AMS tools for continuous improvement.
• Rotate through duties: sorting, loading/unloading, cross-docking, staging and auditing.
• Create bills of lading, verify deliveries and stage inbound/outbound material.
• Provide training to other operators and support cross-functional teams.
