Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Recycling is seeking a Forklift Operator for our Allentown, PA facility. The role focuses on safely operating a sit-down forklift to load and unload trailers, maintain accurate shipment records, and work closely with team members to ensure warehouse efficiency.

The shift is 2nd shift (2pm-10pm) with mandatory overtime every other weekend. Compensation starts at $18.50 per hour, with opportunities to increase based on skills and performance within the mill.

Qualifications

• Previous job experience.
• Industrial or manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• 6+ months forklift experience required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a sit-down forklift to load and unload trailers.
• Maintain accurate records for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
• Maintain a safe work environment by removing debris and adhering to safety rules.
• Perform manual tasks including lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Support safety practices and regulations throughout the shift.
• Handle tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and pulling for up to 8 hours.
