Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of mechanic experience in a food processing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated work experience in a team environment.
• Strong mechanical skills and knowledge; able to learn custom equipment.
• Initiative to work independently and communicate well.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on packaging and processing equipment.
• Specify parts required, order them, and repair per PM plan.
• Assist with training maintenance and production staff.
• Troubleshoot basic electrical problems using test equipment and ladder diagrams.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems using measurement tools and expertise.
• Design and implement mechanical upgrades and overhauls.
• Complete changeovers following the changeover sheet; suggest improvements.
• Conduct routine daily setup and adjustment of production equipment.
