Job summary

McKee Foods is seeking a Truck Technician for the Fleet Maintenance team in Gentry, AR. The role involves repairing and maintaining heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.

The ideal candidate has 6–12 months in a garage or vocational setting, reads schematics, and can diagnose electrical and ABS/air brake systems. Second shift, with shift premium and competitive pay; travel for training may be required.

Qualifications

• 6-12 months in a garage or vocational school
• Able to read schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Must have tools for Class 8 truck repairs
• Able to perform tire/wheel service and alignments
• Experience diagnosing electrical systems and ABS/air brake systems
• Able to lift 50+ pounds regularly
• Must obtain LTO lift truck license within 90 days
• EPA air conditioning cert required within 30 days

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain heavy duty trucks, trailers, yard tractors, cars, vans
• Diagnose electrical systems and perform repairs
• Perform tire and wheel service, alignments and brake work
• Document work orders and communicate findings clearly
• Operate and maintain truck garage equipment
• Travel for training as needed
