Job summary

Cheney Brothers, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Laborer to support efficient warehouse operations, including labeling, inventory replenishment, order staging, and equipment operation in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

You will safely operate pallet jacks and RF scanners, lift up to 100 lbs, assist with inventory audits, and ensure accurate product placement while following safety standards and company policies. Weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Basic Math and Reading skills for counts, labels, and instructions.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate order picking and inventory handling.
• Teamwork in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Time management to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule.
• Familiarity with pallet jacks, RF scanners, and forklifts (certification may be required).

Responsibilities

• Safely operate pallet jacks (manual and walkie) to transport, stage, and stock products.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull products up to 100 lbs; label, stack, and secure items on pallets.
• Attach labels accurately, including translated labels for international shipments.
• Replenish stock, rotate dated products, and assist with inventory audits and cycle counts.
• Return cooler/freezer items to proper storage locations; ensure organization and accuracy.
• Use scanners or wearable devices to record placement and track inventory.
• Perform duties in varying warehouse conditions, including cold storage, withstanding standing, bending, and walking.
• Collaborate with team members, follow instructions, maintain a clean area, and work weekend shifts as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned and complies with policies and standards.

Position Purpose:

Warehouse Laborer is to support efficient warehouse operations by performing a variety of tasks including product labeling, inventory replenishment, order staging, and equipment operation. This role ensures accurate product handling, labeling, and placement while maintaining safety, organization, and productivity standards in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Major Functional Responsibilities:

• Safely operate pallet jacks (manual and walkie) to transport, stage, and stock products throughout the warehouse.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull products weighing up to 100 lbs frequently; perform labeling, stacking, and securing of products on pallets.
• Accurately attach labels, including translated labels for international shipments, ensuring compliance with destination requirements.
• Replenish flagged slots, stock pick slots, rotate dated products, and assist with inventory audits and cycle counts.
• Locate and return cooler/freezer items to proper storage locations after check-in, maintaining organization and accuracy.
• Use scanners or wearable computers to record product placement and ensure accurate inventory tracking.Perform duties in varying warehouse conditions, including cold storage, with extended periods of standing, bending, and walking.
• Collaborate effectively with team members, follow instructions, maintain a clean work area, and work weekend shifts as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
