Job summary

Hanover Iron Works, Inc. in Warner Robins, GA is seeking a skilled 2nd shift Shop Foreman to lead the Fitting & Welding shop.

You will direct daily fabrication activities, provide hands-on leadership, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery while collaborating with project management, logistics, purchasing, and other facilities. The role requires coaching shop personnel, enforcing policies, and coordinating schedules and resources to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Managerial or supervisory experience required.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Detailed knowledge of industry.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
• Must be able to work 2nd shift schedule as well as overtime and Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance for shop employees.
• Adhere to and enforce all company policies.
• Manage all aspects of the fabrication shop, including personnel, equipment, tools, materials, etc.
• Update and maintain the appropriate items in the production schedule.
• Update and maintain the fabrication schedule.
• Coordinate and schedule deliveries.
• Establish and publish standard fabrication procedures.
• Maintain high quality standards and quality control procedures to ensure that the customers get a quality product on time.
• Continually evaluate production procedures to increase effectiveness of employees, efficiency of production, and improve quality.
• Communicate with other departments to ensure project schedules are met.
• Maintain all equipment and buildings as applicable and necessary.
• Communicate with other departments and facilities, as necessary, regarding product status, quality, and delivery.
• Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Make decisions that protect the best interests of the company.
• Maintain a balanced workload in the shop and provide feedback to the Regional Fabrication Operations Manager as needed.
• Maintain inventory levels as needed and discussed with the First Shift Foreman, Regional Fabrication Operations Manager and Purchasing.
• Determine work hours as needed to maintain delivery schedules.
