Job summary

Resource Label Group in Dallas, TX seeks a 2nd shift Finishing Operator to operate high-speed finishing equipment for slitting, inspecting, and rewinding printed labels. You will ensure quality and packaging readiness.

You must read job specs, set up cores, monitor print quality, and maintain safe, efficient production flow while meeting labeling standards. Previous printing/manufacturing experience is preferred, with on-the-job training offered.

Qualifications

• You can spot a microscopic ink smudge on a roll moving at high speeds.
• Comfortable working with tools for setups and making minor mechanical adjustments.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Strong grasp of basic measurements (fractions and decimals) and the ability to read a ruler accurately.
• Previous experience in a printing, packaging, or manufacturing environment is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Receive job assignments and select cores and rewind method.
• Review jacket for finishing, packaging, and shipping specs.
• Inspect products for quality and package items.
• Monitor material flow to detect defects.
• Ensure correct labeling and end-of-roll tape, box finished goods.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines.
• Complete paperwork and prepare shipments.
• Maintain clean, organized work area.
• Assist in cutting, wrapping, and packaging.
• Replace blades on inspection machines.
• Other duties as assigned.
