Job summary

KENT Nutrition Group in Altoona, IA is seeking a Feed Mill Operator for 2nd shift (1:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.). You will operate the feed production line, mix and prepare livestock feeds, and assist with scheduling and inventory control in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities include quality assurance during ingredient receiving, load-out, and bagging; record-keeping; and equipment maintenance. A high school diploma or GED and 1+ year manufacturing experience are required; farming

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; 1+ year manufacturing experience preferred.
• Farming background is a plus and mechanical aptitude is desirable.
• Basic computer skills and ability to read instructions and records.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to process and manufacture feed products safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload trucks, follow loading protocols, and maintain production records.
• Assist with production scheduling and inventory control for ingredients and finished products.
• Perform equipment maintenance, housekeeping, and ensure quality assurance during receiving and bagging.
• Maintain a strong safety culture and comply with CGMP, HACCP, FSMA, and OSHA requirements.
