Job summary

KENT Nutrition Group, Inc. in Arcade, NY is hiring a Machine Operator for the 2nd shift (3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.).

You will operate feed manufacturing equipment in a safe, efficient environment and help maintain high quality and productivity standards. Responsibilities include operating bagger, sewing machine, forklift; following warehouse protocols; recording production; assisting with scheduling and inventory; and supporting maintenance and safety programs.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years manufacturing/factory experience
• Farming background a plus
• Mechanical aptitude preferred

Responsibilities

• Daily operation of equipment to process and manufacture feed products
• Operate the bagger, sewing machine, forklift and all feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow warehouse and loading protocols
• Ensure Kent Nutrition's quality assurance is met regarding ingredient receiving, load-out, and bagging
• Record and document all feed manufactured during shift
• Mix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently assuring accuracy and high quality
• Assist management with production scheduling, inventory planning & control for both ingredients and finished products
• Assist with equipment maintenance and repair as needed
• Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner
• Provide excellent customer service
• Observe and enforce all company policies & procedures
• Perform general work around the facility and other duties as assigned
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations
• Other duties as assigned by Plant Management
