Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Walker, MI is seeking a dedicated janitor for a 2nd shift (2PM-10PM, M-F) to maintain building cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will perform routine cleaning, minor repairs, and general maintenance to support our production environment.

The role requires experience in janitorial work, knowledge of cleaning equipment, and a strong attention to detail. Candidates should be reliable, collaborative, and able to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced plant

Qualifications

Proven experience as a janitor or in a similar role.
Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances.
Attention to detail and conscientiousness.
Ability to work with little supervision and adapt to plant needs.

Responsibilities

Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, and walls.
Operate and perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment and related systems.
Perform preventive maintenance to keep building systems in good condition.
Carry out janitorial duties such as cleaning restrooms and restocking supplies.
Move within the plant to support workflow and assist with landscaping as needed.
