Job summary

The Hanover is seeking a Facilities Engineer for the Worcester, MA site. This role focuses on maintaining and repairing facility equipment across HVAC, electrical, and building systems, with multi-trade responsibilities and ongoing licensure progress.

Ideal candidates will have 4–9 years in related roles, strong safety training (NFPA 70e, OSHA10), and a high school diploma or technical degree; MA driver’s license required. On-site work with hybrid/shift considerations may apply.

Qualifications

• Has safety training such as NFPA 70e and OSHA10.
• Education: minimum high school diploma; college/technical degree preferred.
• Massachusetts driver’s license.
• Satisfies apprenticeship requirements or greater.
• Knowledge of local, state and national codes.
• Ability to read construction drawings and diagrams.
• Typically 4–9 years of related experience.
• Licensure in a trade (e.g., journeyman) or related training.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in operation of hand and power tools and equipment.
• Ensure work orders are completed and documented on time.
• Routine daily equipment checks.
• Perform maintenance on HVAC, BMS, chillers, boilers, generators, and compressors.
• Read and interpret manuals and work orders for maintenance tasks.
• Detect faults and report or repair issues to supervision.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment/systems as needed.
• Oversee critical equipment and coordinate with contractors.
