Job summary

Kinsley Steel, Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Parts and Plates Shop Foreman to lead fabrication operations after hours. You will supervise shop personnel, coordinate schedules, maintain quality standards, and collaborate with other departments to meet delivery goals.

Qualified candidates have managerial experience, strong English communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. A high school diploma is required, with willingness to work 2nd shift, overtime, and Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Managerial or supervisory experience required.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Detailed knowledge of industry.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; MS Office proficiency.
• Must be able to work 2nd shift schedule as well as overtime and Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance for shop employees
• Adhere to and enforce all company policies
• Manage all aspects of the fabrication shop, including personnel, equipment, tools, materials, etc.
• Update and maintain the appropriate items in the production schedule
• Update and maintain the fabrication schedule
• Coordinate and schedule deliveries
• Establish and publish standard fabrication procedures
• Maintain high quality standards and quality control procedures to ensure that the customers get a quality product on time
• Continually evaluate production procedures to increase effectiveness of employees, efficiency of production, and improve quality
• Communicate with other departments to ensure project schedules are met
• Maintain all equipment and buildings as applicable and necessary
• Communicate with other departments and facilities, as necessary, regarding product status, quality, and delivery
• Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Make decisions that protect the best interests of the company
• Maintain a balanced workload in the shop and provide feedback to the Regional Fabrication Operations Manager as needed
• Maintain inventory levels as needed and discussed with the First Shift Foreman, Regional Fabrication Operations Manager and Purchasing.
• Determine work hours as needed to maintain delivery schedules
