Job summary

Kinsley Steel, Inc. is seeking a skilled Shop Foreman to join our team on the 2nd shift. This role leads daily fabrication and production activities, guiding shop personnel to complete work safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

The Foreman serves as the main contact for shift operations and collaborates with other facilities to ensure on-time delivery. The position requires supervisory experience, strong English communication, leadership in a fabrication setting, and flexibility to work

Qualifications

• Must have managerial or supervisory experience.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Detailed knowledge of the industry and fabrication environment.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work 2nd shift, overtime, and Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance for shop employees.
• Adhere to and enforce all company policies.
• Manage all aspects of the fabrication shop, including personnel, equipment, tools, materials, etc.
• Update and maintain the production schedule.
• Coordinate and schedule deliveries.
• Establish and publish standard fabrication procedures.
• Maintain quality standards and QC procedures to ensure on-time delivery.
• Evaluate production procedures to improve efficiency and quality.
• Communicate with other departments to meet project schedules.
• Maintain equipment and facilities as needed.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as necessary.
• Make decisions protecting company interests.
• Balance shop workload and report to Regional Fabrication Operations Manager.
