Job summary

Mum Industries, Inc. is seeking a Shift Lead in the Fabrication Department to manage a production team and oversee assembly of full products or components. The role includes planning tasks, rotating through assembly duties, and monitoring quality during the shift.

You will review orders, supervise assemblers, operate equipment including forklifts, and train staff on job procedures. The position emphasizes safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Become a success story within our Fabrication Dept!Hours: Monday through Friday 2:00pm-10:30pmResponsibility for the following areas:Work as a manufacturing team lead having the responsibility for the team’s assembly of an entire product or component of a product.Shift Lead can perform all tasks conducted by the team in the assembly process. Plans the task and may rotate through all or most as assembly auditor rather than being assigned to a specific task on a permanent basis.Participates in making decisions affecting the work of others in the assembly process throughout the shift.Perform quality checks on products and parts inspecting and approving both product and procedure.Package finished products and prepare them for shipment.Review work orders and blueprints to ensure work is performed according to specifications.Complete production reports to communicate team production level to management.Determine work assignments and procedures.Maintain production equipment and machinery.Supervise assemblers and train employees on job procedures.Operate machinery and heavy equipment, such as forklifts.Fabrication Lead Qualifications:Must have previous experience with press brake machines; Amada, Cincinnati, Accupress, Trumpf and sheet metal.Must have experience leading or supervising a team.Must have previous experience within fabrication.We are always looking for driven, talented people to join our team.Founded in 1996, MUM Industries, Inc. is the parent company to a diverse group of industrial product manufacturers: Integra Enclosures, EMF, MFG, and StrongBox.
