Job summary

Mum Industries Inc in Mentor, Ohio, is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team. The role focuses on inspection/testing of parts using gages such as micrometers, calipers, and height gages, reading drawings, and ensuring nonconforming products are properly segregated.

You will perform incoming inspection of raw material and outside processing, maintain QMS records, and participate in root-cause investigations. Prior sheet metal experience and basic math skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting sheet metal parts and using gauging tools.
• Basic math and measurement skills essential.
• Ability to read blueprints and apply GD&T.
• Familiar with gauging devices like micrometers, calipers, height gauges.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel.
• Capable of independent and team work.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection/testing using gages incl. micrometers, calipers, height gauges.
• Read and interpret drawings.
• Support nonconforming product control and disposition.
• Assist with problem identification, investigation and resolution.
• Perform incoming inspection for raw material and outside processing.
• Maintain records per QMS requirements.
• Perform product audits.
• Other duties as assigned.
