Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, Inc. seeks a 2nd Shift Fabrication Operator at our Selina, KS facility to fabricate frames, shells, and metal components per job orders, blueprints, and verbal instructions. The role requires operating a range of fabricating machines and confirming dimensions with precision tools, with emphasis on safety and quality.

The position runs Monday through Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. with overtime on Friday as needed.

Qualifications

• One to three years’ experience as a fabrication operator or similar.
• Ability to read blueprints and prints.
• Strong math skills including fractions and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Set up, tend and operate fabricating machines (cutoff saws, shears, roller, brakes, presses, forming, spinning, punch, laser, CNC plasma).
• Review engineering releases and create press brake programming as needed.
• Determine proper press brake tooling and assist with set‑ups and functions.
• Create DAVI Roller programs and assist operators as needed.
• Understand, modify and create G Codes for AMADA CNC Turret Punch Press.
• Measure work pieces to ensure accuracy.
• Remove burrs and clean parts; perform minor machine maintenance.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA safety regulations.
