Are you a hands-on leader with experience in extrusion or plastics manufacturing? We’re looking for a Night Shift Extrusion Shift Supervisor to take charge of production operations, drive performance, and support a safety-first, team-oriented culture.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and supervise extrusion operators and material mixers on the night shift
- Ensure equipment is properly set up, operated, and maintained
- Monitor quality using control plans and support lab testing procedures
- Collaborate with team members to reduce scrap and improve output
- Maintain accurate production records and report shift performance
- Evaluate employee performance and help train, coach, and motivate staff
- Work with Quality Control and warehouse teams to maintain workflow
- Fill in as needed on the floor for extruder or material handling roles
- Communicate shift updates and equipment concerns to management
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of extrusion experience (required)
- 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of safe manufacturing practices andorganizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work night shift hours
- High school diploma or GED
- Communication skills (English reading, writing, speaking)
- Flexibility to work overtime or occasional weekends as needed

Responsibilities
- Lead Production Teams: Supervise extrusion operators and material mixers to ensure safety, product quality, and compliance with company procedures.
- Oversee Equipment Operations: Manage setup, startup, breakdown, and shutdown processes to prevent equipment issues and ensure smooth operation.
- Support Quality Control: Utilize control plans, conduct material testing, and collaborate with lab teams; maintain familiarity with injection molding equipment.
- Ensure Compliance & Safety: Enforce policies to sustain a productive, safe work environment; actively promote a culture of accountability.
- Drive Efficiency: Partner with operators to reduce scrap, boost yield, and increase shift productivity.
- Verify Documentation: Review production paperwork to confirm accuracy of shift metrics, work orders, and reporting.
- Develop Talent: Monitor employee performance; participate in hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and discipline.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with QC technicians on non-conforming products and warehouse staff on material coordination.
- Communicate Effectively: Provide operations management with timely updates on shift performance, incidents, and equipment needs.
- Hands-On Support: Step in as needed to perform operator and mixer tasks during absences or high-demand periods.
- Flex as Needed: Take on additional tasks or leadership duties as assigned by plant or operations leadership.
