Job summary

Watlow Electric Manufacturing is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician 1 for the 2nd shift in Winona, MN. The role focuses on skilled general maintenance, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of production equipment, building and facility systems, with oversight from more experienced mechanics.

Key duties include preventative maintenance on SMT and soldering equipment, fabrication of fixtures, and maintaining CMMS records.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Broad mechanical/electrical background with familiarity in pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronics.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on machines, building and property with oversight from senior mechanics.
• Troubleshoot and repair machinery using mechanical and electrical skills including motor controls, PLCs, and sensors.
• Fabricate and install equipment, fixtures, and support structures; welding and fabrication skills preferred.
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on SMT placement equipment, wave soldering and selective solder equipment.
• Repair and install low-voltage electrical wiring and basic plumbing in the facility.
• Maintain and document work in CMMS system.
• Maintain production and facility equipment, including cleaning, painting and part replacements.
• Document all work in CMMS as required.
