Job summary

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC is seeking an Environmental Service Specialist for 2nd shift at the distribution center to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment. The role includes cleaning floors, restrooms, windows, and carpets, removing trash, and operating custodial equipment.

Responsibilities cover office/restroom cleaning, exterior grounds upkeep, and warehouse cleanliness. Training is provided for chemical handling and boom lift operation up to 30 feet.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs continuously and 30 lbs occasionally.
• Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crawl, and climb for 8-10 hour shifts.
• Comfortable working in cold storage environments (-10° to 40°F).

Responsibilities

• Service, clean, and supply restrooms on a scheduled basis.
• Gather and empty trash within offices, break rooms, and restrooms.
• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing as needed.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and glass partitions with appropriate solutions.
• Shampoo, extract, and bonnet carpets as directed.
• Scrub, strip, wax, and burnish hard floors as directed.
• Prepare cleaning solutions; safely operate power equipment.
• Respond to cleanup requests and report safety concerns to team lead.
• Exterior cleanup: pick up trash, empty exterior receptacles, sweep entries and sidewalks.
• Supply trash liners and other supplies to DC departments.
• May be trained to operate boom manlift up to 30 feet.
