Job summary

Garmin in Olathe, KS is seeking a full-time Rework Operator for the 2nd shift to support Customer Repair activities. You will handle receiving, shipping, and repair operations, rework returned or defective products, and implement Engineering Change Orders to ensure BOM conformity.

The role requires lifting up to 30 pounds, use of test equipment, and adherence to DOT and Garmin policies while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• High degree of dexterity and eye coordination for delicate equipment handling.
• Strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Associates operating machinery must have mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to bend, twist and lift up to 30 pounds; stand for a full shift; walk long distances.
• Basic computer operational skills.
• Visual acuity includes close and distance vision and focus adjustment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receive product into the Customer Repair system and log into Oracle/MS Access.
• Operate standard test equipment and perform functional, operational and environmental tests.
• Exchange of consumer and marine products and relay data with customers via Service Reports.
• Ship products, including weighing, packaging and entry into Kewill database.
• Rework/repair Taiwan products, perform ECOs, test functionality, and document results.
• Comply with Garmin Attendance Policy and DOT requirements.
• Remanufacture products by inspecting stock levels, uploading software, and testing.
• Maintain safe lifting practices and adhere to ESD protection standards.
