Job summary

Franklin Electric in Madison, WI is seeking a manufacturing associate responsible for the safe handling, inspection, assembly, packaging and preparation of sensitive electronic components and electrical panel assemblies for shipment.

You will mount components, route wires, and complete final assembly of metal enclosures while adhering to quality, safety and production standards. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous manufacturing/assembly/packaging/warehouse experience is preferred.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Label, sort, and organize packaged materials for inventory and distribution.
  • Follow and understand assembly instructions, including drawings, prints, and electrical schematics.
  • Assist in employee development and continuous improvement as needed.
  • Follow established work instructions, packaging specifications, and quality standards.
  • Test and troubleshoot equipment and take corrective measures as needed.
  • Identify and implement corrective actions for equipment troubleshooting.
  • Understand electrical hardware design with associated drawings and bill of materials.
