Job summary

Imperial, a historic luxury headwear company in Bourbon, MO, is seeking a maintenance technician to perform routine inspections and repairs on production machinery. You will diagnose electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues, read schematics, and maintain records to support safe, efficient operations.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, 2+ years of maintenance experience, and the ability to work 2nd shift (3pm–11:30pm CT).

Qualifications

• Requires: high school diploma or GED; 2+ years in maintenance in manufacturing/industrial setting preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with ability to read schematics/blueprints.
• Experience with motors, controls, wiring, sensors, and preventive maintenance concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on production machinery and facility equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electronic issues across embroidery, screen printing, and related equipment.
• Repair or replace worn parts including motors, belts, bearings, relays, wiring, controls, and sensors.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, repair manuals, and technical drawings.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and protect output schedules.
• Maintain maintenance records and parts usage through tracking methods.
• Assist with equipment setup, testing, and commissioning for new or upgraded machinery.
• Support general facility maintenance including basic plumbing, painting, HVAC, and coordinating with contractors.
