2nd Shift Elbows and Nipples Machine Operator

Reporting Line

This position reports to the Production Supervisor.

Role and Responsibilities

1. Operate specialty machinery to fabricate, manufacture, assemble, or move products, ensuring safety, production, and quality standards are met.
2. Conduct quality inspections using precision tools such as calipers and micrometers.
3. Maintain activity and production logs, recording approved and defective parts, as well as final product counts.
4. Perform daily preventative maintenance on machines.
5. Identify machine deficiencies and propose solutions.
6. Work 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday, with overtime as needed to meet customer demand.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced and changing scenarios.
• Ability to learn and follow safety, quality, and productivity requirements.
• Multi-tasking skills, including handling raw materials, monitoring machine parameters, performing quality checks, and maintaining logs.
• Basic math skills, including operations with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and calculations of rate, ratio, and percentages.
• Ability to understand and communicate detailed instructions.
• Problem-solving skills in standard situations with some variables.
• Physical ability to work in a noisy environment, standing for long periods, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting or pushing weights up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible scheduling, including overtime and holiday shifts.
• Legal authorization to work in the US.
