Job summary

Zoetis Lincoln, NE is seeking a Downstream Processing Technician to perform tasks in the downstream processing of active biological ingredients. The role requires learning filtration, centrifugation, and chromatography of bacterial antigens while complying with SOPs and GMPs.

The position follows a 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:00pm–10:30pm) with possible overtime, weekends, and holidays. Strong communication and mechanical skills are essential to operate and maintain equipment and to document test

Qualifications

• Minimum High school degree or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of PC using window-based applications.
• Grade level will depend on experience and education level.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe work habits and maintain a safe work environment.
• Learn downstream processing techniques such as centrifugation, concentration, sterile filtration, purification through chromatography and dispensing of bacterial antigens.
• Train in GMPs and demonstrate understanding and compliance.
• Operate, clean, and perform minor maintenance on equipment such as fermentors, seed isolators, centrifuges, filtration units.
• Assist with reading and reporting test results using scientific instruments.
