Job summary

CMA CGM is seeking a 2nd shift Dock Material Handler Operator in Clayton, IN to support warehouse logistics and dock operations. You will perform manual tasks, operate equipment, and assist with loading, receiving, and inventory controls in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and at least two years of warehousing or related logistics experience.
• Forklift Certification is typically required within 3–6 months of hire; a valid state driver's license is preferred.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools and basic warehouse equipment; basic computer/ software skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times
• Execute manual labor functions including picking inventory, counting cargo and loading goods
• Capture and upload pictures of loaded freight and labels when needed
• Collaborate with customer and CS team regarding outbound shipments and provide carrier updates
• Lock and chock trailers before loading and perform dock audits
• Coordinate receipt, storage, and distribution of materials within the area
• Sort and place materials on racks and pallets according to product characteristics
• Assist with training and provide basic work instructions to new hires or transfers
• Complete forms, documents, and labels to ensure inventory accuracy
