Job summary

Leggett & Platt in Fort Smith, AR seeks a Forklift Operator to lead dock activities and manage shipping/receiving processes. You will perform forklift duties, supervise Ship/Rec operators, and own critical JDE and Trancollector workflows.

The role requires coordinating real-time shipping activities, accurate BOLs, and close collaboration with supervisors. Safety, accountability, and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

Must be able to operate forklift safely.
Experience leading shipping/receiving teams preferred.
Strong knowledge of shipping paperwork processes.

Responsibilities

Be able to perform all duties of a Forklift Operator.
Lead Ship/Rec Forklift Operators for the assigned dock area.
Own and manage the JDE Ship Confirm process.
Own and manage the Trancollector Ship Confirm process.
Own and manage the JDE Receiving process.
Own and manage the Trancollector Receiving process.
Own and manage creating BOLs (bill of lading).
Own and manage shipping paperwork flow: outbound BOLs, manifests, ASNs, delivery tickets.
Own and manage receiving of materials and expendable supplies.
Coordinate inbound and outbound trailer needs.
Assign dock doors to trailer numbers and manage dock operations in real time.
Direct and train workforce as assigned by supervisor.
Participate in department housekeeping.
Perform other duties as assigned.
