Leggett & Platt, Inc. in Fort Smith, AR is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Lead to supervise dock operations and ensure accurate, on-time fulfillment of orders.

You will oversee forklift operations, paperwork accuracy for BOLs and ASNs, and coordinate inbound/outbound trailers while directing a team of forklift operators. This role requires leadership, reliability, and hands-on experience with warehouse processes.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and able to perform all duties of a Forklift Operator.
  • Experience supervising dock operations and coordinating inbound/outbound shipments.
  • Familiarity with shipping paperwork (BOLs, manifests, ASNs) and dock door assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct Ship/Rec Forklift Operators for the dock area.
  • Own and manage JDE Ship Confirm and Trancollector Receiving processes.
  • Own and manage JDE Receiving and Trancollector Receiving processes.
  • Create BOLs and ensure proper flow of shipping paperwork (Outbound and In Process).
  • Coordinate inbound/outbound trailer needs and dock door assignments.
  • Manage real-time shipping board at dock doors and supervise staff.
  • Train employees as directed by supervisor.
  • Participate in housekeeping and other duties as assigned.

  • Full ownership and responsibilities of Trancollector Ship Confirm process
  • Full ownership and responsibilities of JDE Receiving process
  • Full ownership and responsibilities of Trancollector Receiving process
  • Full ownership and responsibilities of creating BOLs
  • Full ownership and responsibilities of generation and proper flow of shipping paperwork
    • Outbound – BOLs, Manifest, ASNs, Delivery Tickets
    • In Process – Loading tallies
  • Full ownership and responsibilities of receiving of materials and expendable supplies
  • Full ownership and responsibilities of coordinating and communicating inbound and outbound trailer needs
  • Full ownership and responsibilities of coordinating dock door # assignments to trailer # assignments
  • Full ownership and responsibilities of real-time management of the shipping board at the dock doors
  • Direction of work force as assigned by supervisor.
  • Training of employees as assigned by supervisor.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Actively participate in housekeeping requirements for the department.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
