Job summary

White Oak Manor York is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our 109-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation campus. This full-time role on the on-site kitchen supports resident meals, adheres to planned menus, and helps maintain safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced setting.

Evening shift 11am-8pm with alternating weekends; prior long-term care food service experience is a plus but not required. We value teamwork, reliability, and a compassionate approach to residents.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (or willingness to learn).
• Ability to follow menus and special diet instructions.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and service of daily meals following planned menus.
• Prepare food in accordance with special diets and resident needs.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and temperature control.
• Assist with inventory, stocking, and other kitchen-related duties as needed.
• Work collaboratively with the dietary team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Support high standards of quality, cleanliness, and resident satisfaction.
