Job summary

MacAllister Machinery Co., Inc. is seeking a Service Technician for the 2nd shift to perform and lead service and maintenance tasks on customer equipment. You will diagnose problems, perform maintenance, and handle repairs from mechanical to electrical work.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of diesel engine repair experience, experience on heavy-duty/on-highway trucks, and can source parts as needed. CDL A and state certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of Diesel engine repair experience.
• Experience on heavy duty/on-highway trucks.
• Highly motivated and able to learn new tasks, processes, and policies.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems with equipment/engines using a variety of methods and tools.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance on Customer Products.
• Service/repair work on items diagnosed, ranging from mechanical to electrical work.
• Identify and source parts required for repair or service.
• Complete a detailed service report for the Service Coordinator and Service Supervisor.
• Clean and paint equipment as necessary to complete job.

Education

High School Diploma or Vocational College in Diesel Technology or Welding Technology
