Job summary
A machinery service company is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose and repair equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, service repairs, and complete service reports. The ideal applicant has 2-5 years of experience with heavy construction or on-highway diesel engines, is motivated to learn, and can work on both mechanical and electrical tasks. This position offers a competitive pay range of $24.00 to $45.00 per hour, with a range of benefits including medical, 401(k), and tuition reimbursement.
Qualifications
Minimum 2-5 years of Heavy Construction or On-Highway Diesel Engine diagnosis and repair experience.
Highly motivated and able to learn new tasks, processes, and policies.
Responsibilities
Diagnose problems with equipment/engines using a variety of methods and tools.
Perform Preventive Maintenance work on customer products.
Service/repair work on items diagnosed ranging from mechanical to electrical work.
Identify and source any parts required for repair or service.
Complete a detailed service report.
Cleaning and painting of equipment as necessary.
Skills
Heavy Construction or On-Highway Diesel Engine diagnosis and repair
Ability to learn new tasks, processes and policies
Education
High School Diploma or Vocational College degree in Diesel Technology, Heavy Equipment Repair, or Welding Technology
Tools
CAT ET or similar electronic diagnostics tool
