Sweeping Corporation of America (SCA) is hiring a Diesel Mechanic in the Philadelphia area to keep street sweepers and equipment safe, reliable, and ready for service. You’ll inspect, diagnose, and repair hydraulic, electrical, and air systems while following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED.
• Experience: 2 years of hands-on experience in a shop environment working with hydraulic, electrical, and air pressure systems.
• License: Driver’s License.
• Tools: Must provide and maintain basic hand and diagnostic tools necessary to perform the job.
• Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Compliance: Must maintain an acceptable driving record and pass MVR, background check, DOT physical, and drug screens.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Inspection: Perform thorough inspections of equipment and mechanical systems following safety protocols.
• Execution: Carry out maintenance tasks with precision and follow blueprints and torque requirements.
• Equipment Operation: Use diagnostic tools to identify mechanical problems.
• Material Handling: Safely handle components and fluids and dispose of used materials properly.
• Reporting: Immediately report equipment issues or safety concerns to management.
• Communication: Communicate maintenance needs and updates to operators and team members.
• Compliance & Documentation: Complete service reports and safety checklists to support accountability.
