Job summary

Team 1 Plastics in New York is seeking a Die Setter to load, hang, and remove molds on injection molding machines, perform safe changeovers, and keep machines running smoothly. You will troubleshoot process issues, maintain productivity and quality records, and assist with maintenance requests in a fast-paced environment.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with a requirement for a high school diploma, basic math skills, and the ability to work with others.

About the role

The Die Setter plays a critical role in keeping production running safely and efficiently by completing mold changes and preparing injection molding machines for production. This position hangs and removes molds, shuts down and starts up molding machines, performs accurate and efficient process changeovers, and makes minor process adjustments as needed. Responsibilities include assisting with troubleshooting process and secondary equipment issues, maintaining required productivity and quality documentation, identifying maintenance needs, and keeping work areas clean and safe. If you have strong mechanical aptitude, work well in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and take pride in completing safe, accurate, and efficient work, this role is a great fit.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent reaching with hands and arms.


• Frequent lifting, bending, and stooping while carrying a load.


• Ability to stand and walk for a 12 hour shift.


• Ability to maneuver very heavy dies into a machine using a crane and properly tighten with a torque wrench.


• Ability to lift or maneuver 55 pounds.
