Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries seeks a qualified 2nd shift Department Supervisor for our Medford, Wisconsin Windows facility. You will lead a production crew, promote safety, and work with the Mill Manager and other Supervisors to optimize productivity.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ recent, related, and relevant work experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a crew
• Understand wood product manufacturing processes with emphasis on people management
• Proven commitment to Safety and Company Policy
• Ability to handle multiple priorities under demanding circumstances

Responsibilities

• Assure safe workplace practices and promote safety awareness
• Work with Mill Manager, Superintendent, and other Supervisors to optimize productivity
• Manage downtime and orchestrate solutions to reduce downtime
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and inefficiencies
• Oversee the product manufacturing process to ensure quality standards are met
• Understand and comply with applicable regulations such as OSHA, wage and hour, and environmental
• Supervise, train, direct, and coordinate work of the department's crew
• Approve timecards and manage attendance and duties during production and emergencies
