Job summary

Everwood Treatment Co. is seeking a diligent forklift operator to assist treating engineers by preparing lumber for the treatment process and performing related duties.

You will load/unload lumber, stack high, and operate transfer deck controls while assisting in material sampling with a drill. The role involves maintaining safety and quality standards, supporting month-end inventory tasks, and performing general housekeeping around the cylinder and tram areas.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift experience of 2+ years required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Treating Engineers by preparing lumber to be treated and performing related duties.
• Load and unload lumber using forklift; stack lumber 10–15 feet high.
• Operate the transfer deck controls and drill to bore material samples.
• Use banding tool and tag gun to prepare lumber for treatment.
• Monitor trams and cylinder production to ensure efficient material flow.
• Perform housekeeping around cylinder and tram area; assist in inventory activities at month-end.

• Assists Treating Engineers by preparing lumber to be treated, changing out charges, quality control, and other duties as assigned
• Load and unload lumber using forklift, stacking lumber up to 10-15 foot high
• Uses controls to operate the transfer deck.
• Uses drill to bore material samples.
• Uses banding tool and tag gun to prepare lumber for treatment.
• Monitors trams and production of cylinders to ensure efficient flow of material through equipment.
• Performs housekeeping and clean-up around cylinder and tram area
• Assists in picking up lumber and other materials due to spills as requested by Supervisor.
• Assists in month-end inventory activities.
