Job summary

Accentuate Staffing is assisting a growing printing manufacturer in Fuquay-Varina, NC to hire a Cutter Operator for a 2nd shift contract-hire role (3pm-11pm, Monday-Friday).

You will set up, operate and monitor cutting equipment, review work orders, and ensure production meets customer specifications. The job requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs, standing for extended periods.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of cutter operating experience in printing, packaging, or paperboard.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Ability to read work orders, use measuring tools, and perform basic math calculations.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality products.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work around production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor cutting equipment for production runs.
• Review work orders and job specifications to ensure products meet customer requirements.
• Perform machine make-readies, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting to maintain quality and productivity.
• Inspect finished products throughout production to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Accurately record production information, material usage, and waste.
• Communicate production status and any quality or equipment concerns to supervisors.
• Follow all safety, housekeeping, and quality procedures.
