Job summary

HES is seeking 2nd shift Custodians for Johnson City, TN area. The role covers 2nd shift hours (3pm-11:30pm, 4-8pm or 5-9pm) Monday-Friday with pay between $12-$13 per hour depending on experience.

Positions available in Johnson City, Kingsport and Jonesboro, with responsibilities for general cleaning and facility upkeep. General Cleaners perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, restrooms sanitation, trash removal, window cleaning, and surface cleaning while following supervisor directions.

• Experience: Previous cleaning experience a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• General Cleaners are responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of all assigned areas.
• Sweep, dust, dust mopping, damp mopping, vacuuming, toilet and restroom cleaning, and surface sanitizing.
• Remove trash and recycling; clean windows, desks, walls, furniture and fixtures.
• Follow custodial supervisor directions and complete tasks as assigned.

General Cleaners are responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of all assigned areas. General Cleaners perform any combination of cleaning duties to maintain the daily upkeep and cleanliness of the facility

General Cleaner Essential Functions

Sweeping, dusting, dust mopping, damp mopping, vacuuming, extracting carpet, stripping and waxing floors, removing trash, recycling, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and locker rooms, polishing outside area within 10 feet of entryways, washing windows, cleaning of desks/walls/ furniture/ doors/ entry glass/ interior glass/counter tops/chalkboards/ whiteboards/blinds and light fixtures, and any other duties as directed by custodial supervisor or his/her designated representative.
