Job summary

HES Facilities in Johnson City, TN seeks 2nd shift custodians to ensure clean, safe educational facilities and assist with daily maintenance tasks. The role requires teamwork and reliability to keep classrooms, hallways, and common areas pristine.

Two options exist: full or part-time, with shifts from 3pm-11:30pm, 4-8pm, or 5-9pm, Monday–Friday. Wage is $12–$13 per hour, depending on experience, plus benefits including medical, life, dental, and vision insurance.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning is a plus but not required.
• Able to perform physically demanding cleaning duties.
• Fingerprint background check required.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sweep, dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize assigned areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and locker rooms.
• Handle trash removal and recycling.
• Polish entryways, desks, and surfaces as directed by supervision.
• Report maintenance issues to custodial supervisor or designate.

General Cleaners Needed for schools

General Cleaners are responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of all assigned areas. General Cleaners perform any combination of cleaning duties to maintain the daily upkeep and cleanliness of the facility

General Cleaner Essential Functions

Sweeping, dusting, dust mopping, damp mopping, vacuuming, extracting carpet, stripping and waxing floors, removing trash, recycling, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and locker rooms, polishing outside area within 10 feet of entryways, washing windows, cleaning of desks/walls/ furniture/ doors/ entry glass/ interior glass/counter tops/chalkboards/ whiteboards/blinds and light fixtures, and any other duties as directed by custodial supervisor or his/her designated representative.

General Cleaner Job Requirements

General Cleaner Minimum Qualifications

Experience: Previous cleaning experience a plus but not required.
