Job summary

Findlay City Schools is seeking a Custodian Extraordinaire to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming learning environments. This role reports to the Lead Custodian/Facilities Director and supports the district mission.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to perform physical duties, work independently or in a team, and communicate effectively. Salary is defined by a board-approved contract with a 260-day term.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform essential physical job functions.
• Willingness to be trained in custodial duties as needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Police public areas inside and out.
• Dust mopping, sweeping, wet mopping, stripping and refinishing floors.
• Vacuum rugs and carpet including shampooing.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms and stock supplies.
• Dust and clean walls, windows, and woodwork.
• Notify management of equipment or facility needs.
• Perform general maintenance and minor repairs as required.
• Remain on site during school hours and during authorized use.
