Job summary

Hood Container in Chicago, IL is seeking a Utility Person for the 2nd shift (3:00 pm to 11:00 pm). The role involves general clean up, startup support, and other duties in a manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate will have at least six months of manufacturing or warehouse experience, HS diploma or GED, and the ability to read a tape measure. Corrugator experience is a plus, with a willingness to work extended hours and weekends.

Qualifications

• Six consecutive months of manufacturing, industrial or warehouse experience is required.
• Corrugator experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Verify all set-ups are correct.
• Maintain accurate records on specific customers for caliper.
• Ability to stand for up to 12 hours.
• Ability to work in hot, humid, noisy, and high-volume machine production area.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts when required, overtime, weekends and holidays on any assigned shift.
• Self-motivated and committed to safety and organizational goals.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude in order to troubleshoot machine problems.
• Basic record-keeping and documentation functions.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
