Job summary

Vickers Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Coolant / Oil Technician for the second shift in New Troy, MI.

The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and is a non-exempt, hourly position, typically Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm EST. Primary duties include monitoring and replenishing oils, washers, and coolants, maintaining coolant concentration and pH, managing inventory with suppliers, recording measurements, and performing routine PMs on the coolant recycler while

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Organizational skills required.
• Reliable candidate with good people skills.
• Strong teamwork, motivation and communication essential.

Responsibilities

• Check and fill oils.
• Check and fill parts washers.
• Check and fill coolant.
• Maintain proper coolant concentricity.
• Maintain bacteria levels below acceptable levels.
• Maintain pH levels of coolants.
• Work with suppliers to keep inventory of washer, coolant and oils.
• Keep records of coolant and washer concentricity’s.
• Respond to shift leaders requests for coolant changes.
• Coordinate waste water removal.
• Perform PMs on Coolant Recycler.
• Keep Area of responsibility clean.
