Job summary

GT Industries, a leading automotive manufacturing supplier, is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their 2nd shift in North Vernon, IN. The schedule is Monday-Friday 3:30PM-12AM, offering up to $105,000 per year with annual bonus opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Engineering Science or the equivalent experience, 5+ years in controls and electrical panel design, and the ability to program and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering Science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in controls and design of electrical panels.
• Ability to program and troubleshoot automated equipment, such as PLCs and HMIs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze downtime to identify root causes and countermeasures.
• Develop and modify PLC/HMI/robot programs to meet standards.
• Perform hard wiring modifications to machinery.
• Support maintenance during emergency downtime.
• Provide training to maintenance and engineering teams.
• Participate in tool shop runs offs and home lines as required.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost-saving activities.
• Support production to meet quality and efficiency targets.
