Job summary

Multimatic Indiana - New Haven in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Controls Technician for 2nd shift. You will drive automation (PLCs & robotics) to optimize production and support all preventive maintenance programs, equipment, and facilities.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or GED with electrical training or journeyman experience and 3-5 years in automotive manufacturing; familiarity with ABB/Motoman/Fanuc/Kuka robots and Allen-Bradley/Siemens PLCs is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 2 years' electrical training or journeyman experience, or 3-5 years in automotive manufacturing.
• Experience with robotics and PLCs is required or highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical controls, drives, and robot paths.
• Make programming changes to PLC, HMI, and robots.
• Assist in machine repair, changeover, setup, and operation.
• Perform all preventive maintenance as scheduled.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and documentation.
• Support Production as needed and work 2nd or 3rd shift.
