Job summary

Actalent in New Brunswick, NJ is seeking a Compounder for the 2nd shift (Spray) to prepare, mix, and process ingredients using spray, liquid, powder, and homogenizing methods in a GMP environment.

You will document batch activities, verify weights, monitor viscosity, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. This onsite role offers solid benefits and growth potential.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of compounding experience with powders and raw materials.
• Hands-on chemical mixing and batch making processes.
• Experience in GMP-regulated environments and safety protocols.
• Ability to measure ingredients accurately and document results.
• Strong attention to detail when following batch instructions.
• Familiarity with in-process inspections and viscosity checks.
• Willingness to wear a uniform and PPE at all times.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve ingredients and raw materials from storage and verify accuracy.
• Measure ingredients precisely using scales and devices for batch formulas.
• Mix ingredients according to batch instructions, including dyes, and load into equipment.
• Identify solids requiring melting and safely melt them using approved methods.
• Identify ingredients needing dilution, dilute and record usage accurately.
• Verify weights and contents of raw materials prior to processing.
• Conduct in-process batch inspections for consistency, appearance, and performance.
• Document all process events and material usage per procedures.
• Process materials using liquid, powder, homogenizing, and spray dry methods as scheduled.
• Follow batch instructions for accurate addition of dyes into equipment.
• Check batch consistency and measure viscosity to meet specifications.
• Collect samples and deliver to laboratory for testing.
• Follow GMP and food safety guidelines and maintain documentation.
• Wear uniform and PPE; collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet goals.
