Abbott Metal Werks in Wheeling, IL is seeking a detail-oriented Cold Header Operator to set up, run and troubleshoot cold heading processes on the 2nd shift, ensuring high-quality fasteners for North American OEMs. You will maintain production records, monitor machine performance and help sustain ISO quality standards in a busy, temperature-varied plant.

Requirements include 3+ years of experience in cold heading or similar manufacturing, ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in cold heading or similar manufacturing role.
• Experience with nut/part forming is a bonus.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work in various temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular inspections and quality checks of production output.
• Maintain accurate records of production metrics and machine performance.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean workspace.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Assist in training new operators on machinery and procedures.
